As the Queen's Platinum Jubilee approaches, and we admire a 70 year reign, here at Jimmy Garcia Catering it has got us thinking all about what we love about being British, as well rejoicing in the fact that us Brits really do know how to throw a good party. There is so much to celebrate.

The traditional street party, bringing families, neighbours, friends and strangers together of every generation, with a common love of home-baked scones, trifles, sausage rolls, a jug of pimms, some English sparkling wine, waving flags and good old British Bands playing all the classics. Neighbours and all ages and abilities, giving baking ago for the love of it. Truly amazing.

There's really no need to venture too far afield to get your hands on top-notch produce whilst you are entertaining at home, it's all here in our home country. Discover a Royal Masterpiece

Home of the Rubens ceiling at The Banqueting House, Whitehall. The only remaining component of the Palace of Whitehall, the residence of English monarchs from 1530 to 1698. Today, the beauty and scale of this spectacular venue continues to inspire its guests, just as it did for the kings, queens and courtiers who have celebrated and banqueted here since 1622.

For weddings and events, the Pavilion at Kensington Palace is breathtakingly beautiful and a reception in the gardens is the ideal setting for summer drinks. Still home to British Royalty, the timeless elegance of the Palace is guaranteed to thrill your guests.

Dine Amongst The Crown Jewels

There are a number of versatile spaces throughout London's iconic castle and World Heritage Site for hire day or night for your events, weddings and celebrations, including The Reveller - a new contemporary space nestled under the Tower Bridge arches that boasts spectacular views, as well as a private outdoor terrace. It can be also used in conjunction with other venues around the Tower to offer your guests a truly memorable experience
