Kicking Off the Premier League Season at Outernet
To mark the start of the new Premier League season, we headed to Outernet for an evening of football, food and live entertainment.
With 250 guests gathering ahead of kick-off, the brief was to create a menu that could keep pace with the energy of the night. Guests arrived to a selection of canapés including crispy sesame fried chicken with katsu emulsion, mini lobster rolls with gochujang and lime dressing, and sweet corn tapioca crisps topped with charred corn and pickled chilli.
Alongside them were summer squash and beetroot pies and 'The Chip' - a potato rosti topped with garlic purée and balsamic caviar.
A live band set the tone early in the evening before attention turned to the football. Bowl food followed, with American-style chicken burgers, vegan burgers with crispy tofu and kimchi, truffle mac and cheese, and a summer salad of blood peach, pineapple tomato and blackberries.
Once the final whistle had blown, guests were treated to Guinness cake and chocolate tart to finish the menu.
A great way to celebrate the return of Premier League football, with good food, live music and plenty of anticipation for the season ahead.
